What should I be learning right now?
We hear that question more than any other. And for a while, our own site made it harder to answer than it should have been. We heard your feedback and now we are delivering.
As of today, the new Level Effect website and a refreshed Guardian Foundry are live together.
A new look
The fantasy look is retired. You’re here to train and focus, and the new simple yet sleek layout sets the tone for this.
Level Effect has a new logo. A layered amber L, a custom E, and clean lettering. Guardian Foundry gets its own mark too: a hammer, an anvil, and a shield.
Everything now runs on graphite and amber, with clean headings and easy-to-read body text. It works the same in light and dark mode.

Our full training catalogue is now public at leveleffect.com/training. Every course and Learning Path, no account needed.
Search it. Filter by format, topic, and difficulty. Sort A to Z. Every page shows what the training covers, what you'll be able to do when you finish, roughly how long it takes, and how many hands-on exercises and assessments are inside.
Not sure whether you want a course or a Learning Path? The catalogue explains the difference. Short version: a course teaches one skill set. A Learning Path strings courses together toward a role.
Inside Guardian Foundry
Same training, a much better place to do it.
The learning workspace got the biggest rework:
The curriculum menu collapses, so you get more room to read and write.
Progress is easier to read at a glance.
Course descriptions open in an overlay, so you never leave the page.
Reading and response panels resize to fit your screen, phone included.
Your tools got the new look too. Catalogues, account and billing, Portfolio, Satchel, and Tickets are all refreshed. Your Handbook now shows a snapshot of where you are, with a Continue button to jump straight back in. Pages are wider and cleaner, statuses are clearer, and wide tables scroll inside their own box on mobile instead of breaking the page.
A few fixes you asked for:
Retaking a certification exam keeps all your completed training. Miss a pass and a retry button is right there.
Topic file uploads are bigger and accept ZIP files, so full artifact packs go up in one shot.
Learning Path badges no longer cover tile titles.
Training a team?
Teams have their own home on the site now. It's built for MSPs, MSSPs, and in-house SOC teams who need training to happen alongside the day job. We help organize the work, support your analysts, review their reports, and give you progress you can actually use.
We also put together a side-by-side comparison with CyberDefenders, TryHackMe Business, and INE Professional. It covers what managers ask us about most: who reviews your analysts' reports, what support learners get, and what you can see as a manager. Every competitor claim links to its source.
Or skip the comparison and try the real thing. Sign in and you get a private sample team inside the actual product. Review progress, read reports and instructor feedback, assign training, and export reports. No credit card, no countdown, no inviting your team.
Watch it live now!
Rob is walking through all of it live today at 12PM EST. We're opening with the question that started it all: what should you actually learn right now? Then the new site, the catalogue, and the platform, screen by screen.
Also new in September
PHANTOM is now a full course. Our npm supply chain compromise started as a timed CTF. Now it's self-paced with no timer. Work the artifact pack, write YARA, Snort, and Sigma rules, hunt the fleet, and turn in a full incident report. Finish it and earn the PHANTOM Supply Chain Threat Hunter badge.
New Learning Path: Cyber Defense Specializations: Finding Your Path. Not sure where to go after SOC work? Try short intros to PowerShell, Python, detection engineering, cloud security, and pentesting, and find the direction worth committing to before you go deep.
Thank you.
To everyone who told us what wasn't working: thank you. This update is yours. Keep the feedback coming.
See you at 1PM today!
