Hello! 👋
Hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving last week in the US and got some downtime! Back to the studies now. ✏️

On-Demand Certification - CDCP
This is a huge moment for Level Effect. Since 2020 we’ve only been able to offer the CDCP on our previous learning platform as a very manually set up process for Live students.
But not anymore.
We’re proud to finally release the Cyber Defense Certified Professional (CDCP) to anyone to take at any time! This is an entirely practical exam. There are no multiple choice questions at all. It’s been touted by our alumni as amongst the challenging certifications to overcome, and we can’t wait to see what the general community makes of it.
A holder of the CDCP has demonstrated the knowledge, skill, and practical application to work within a security operations team at SOC Tier 1 to 2 level.
The CDCP launches today taking advantage of our current BF pricing at 20% off for single attempts. $249 down to $199.
Note that purchasing CDA (which is currently on sale for $399…) comes with two vouchers included.
More info on the CDCP page itself here:
The GOLD CDCP
There is a special accolade for the CDCP.
Students that complete the CDCP the FIRST time taking it, and complete it at an exceeding level will be awarded this variant. There are only a couple dozen holding this badge of honor to date.
What does exceeding mean? It means you demonstrated mastery of the expectations of the certification. You have the ability to not only deliver on objectives to pass the exam, but you have the ability to correlate various indicators and findings to provide unique or highly valuable intelligence on your research. You can also communicate it clearly and concisely using best practices in both writing and industry terms and definitions, while utilizing models, flow charts, and imagery in an effective manner.
Will you be the next one to conquer it?

4. Tools
As we come across recommended tools or guides or have them shared to us, we’ll start adding them to the newsletter/blog here on out!
https://www.cybersecuritycloudexpo.com/global/ not so much a tool but a recommendation from Calvin for those in London worth checking out on Feb 5 and 6!
https://awseye.com/ is a tool that provides insights into AWS accounts by identifying resources such as S3 buckets, SQS queues, CloudFront distributions, and Lambda
https://www.reddit.com/r/cybersecurity/comments/1h0z37a/the_reality_of_fulltime_bug_bounty_hunting/ also not so much a tool but a really interesting read on some bug bounty hunting analysis and takes behind the scene…
5. Takeaway This Week
Take imperfect action.
