1. Brand

Something Big Is Coming… (Really)

We’ve been teasing this a little bit now and we’ve received quite a few questions and comments. We’re having another internal update meeting on Jan 24th with all of us involved to nail down some final items on it. It’s not a course. It’s not a CTF. It’s something bigger and better. Something a lot of you have asked for…

I will say this - it will be a fully live event with a schedule that you’ll want to book some calendar time for if you can. 😎 

We will reveal things end of this month or first week Feb latest! Get ready! 👀 

Content Survey Reminder

We’ve received a lot of great feedback already and just want to share this out once more - would love to know your thoughts and interests on what you want to see next from Level Effect !

Your feedback will directly help shape what we do next!

Career Support Public GitHub

We’ve had quite a few alumni go on to get jobs and are seeing a good trend now of students now getting placement and/or interviews. That being said - we’re going to put together a GitHub project that contains a ton of interview questions, the interview process, and so forth that anyone can contribute to and add an item on their resume as a contributor!

If you have questions or tips or anything along this line, you’ll be able to submit them as a PR! 🙌 

Additionally if you have any recommendations or asks that you want to see out of this GitHub just leave a message in Discord in the #career-chat channel !

2. Content

DE&TH

DE&TH is finally releasing it’s first big content update to the point that it will be full enough to be out of early access NEXT WEEK. Jan 21st!

We had originally planned for today but needed one more week to get a few things right.

There will be a big update to the content in place and more for you to work on. There have also been several contributors to the course that we’ll reveal!

We are also going to be putting the course up to its full price on Feb 1st !

Stay tuned for the launch news next Tuesday.

Dark Web & APT Case Study

The Dark Web introductory walkthrough by Doug is up on our YouTube! If you haven’t checked it out yet this stream gets pretty deep and detailed into what it’s like going into some of the less nefarious areas of the dark web for security research AND gets into a good review of what an APT case study is like by looking at and evaluating their TTPs!

SOC100 Class 20 & 21

More SOC100 recordings are up!

• We wrapped up GRC and got into some deep breakdowns of cryptography

• We also did a walkthrough of actually encrypting, decrypting, encoding, decoding, and hashing ON the command line so you can see it in action !

Awards!

We’ve had 17 students so far achieve the SOC100-1 certification looking at the numbers today. Amazing and well done! We’re going to look to add this for a specific Discord role very soon so you can show off your flair a bit! 😎
