LE No. 14: Designing Cyber Content, Conference Signups Aplenty! SOC100-5 Stream Schedule
Weekly Update Feb 25th 2025
Welcome to our weekly Level Effect newsletter, designed to keep you informed and updated on our latest activities! Thank you for tuning in. šŗ
Hello Defender!
We skipped last weekās newsletter to drop the announcement of our Cybersecurity conference, so quite a bit to capture on this one.
Letās dive in!
Table of Contents
1. Brand
ContinuumCon
We finally teased what weāve been working on last week! Weāre making a virtual Cybersecurity Conference that ānever endsā!
Weāve already seen a ton of registrations come in which is fantastic. One component of a great conference is a lot of people going to it! The more the merrier to share and collaborate and network.
More updates to come on this note and youāll want to be on the waitlist. Link below if you missed it last week! š
Behind the Level Effect Curtain?

Next week on March 4th, one of our Co-Founders Anthony Bendas will be going on stage with the Co-Founder of CourseStack! That is the platform that we use every single day to develop and deliver our training content to YOU. Heāll be walking through how the platform supports this and also break down what goes on behind the scenes of building training content.
This will be a great talk not only showing the intricacies of LMS (learning management systems) but also the considerations and design decisions that goes into building practical technical content!

CDA Winter 2025 - Reminder

There is still time to apply and get a seat in our 14 week Instructor-Led Cyber Defense Analyst course!
SOC100-5 Stream Schedule
š£ updates to the SOC100-5 stream and general streaming structure here!
We're now streaming only on Saturdays
Saturday streams are still scheduled to start at 10AM for SOC100-5 but may adjust this later after that
There will be no streams on Sundays
We are also taking a weekend stream break for a few weeks in April
The new schedule is updated on the SOC100 Stream Calendar here: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/12WRVm_52PmFkp6Lr8v9v8M1ONcRytOz8zizYBy10LHI/edit?gid=0#gid=0
So, why are we doing this?
As mentioned in last newsletter, SOC100 is already outperforming expectations and outcomes for students and the community, so we don't need to pack in 8 hours of live content every weekend!
This change gives everyone more time to review content at a more manageable pace, and enjoy a better balance with their lives! maybe your families will remember you again on weekends š
This will give more time for Level Effect to work on new content and diversified initiatives that benefits everyone - the more we scale and grow, the more we can keep doing more of all of this! like a certain ContinuumCon coming soon, Friday Guest Instructor Streams, Short-Form Content, Weekend Live Training Classes, and maybe finally a Swag Shop? ā
2. Content
SOC100-5 Kickoff
This Saturday kicks off the SOC100-5 series of content⦠very exciting. Weāll start off with the Career Prep 3 aspect. Getting your hands involved in the open source space not only helps you technically, but is very motivating and encouraging when you see your work getting recognized by others!
SOC100 Classes 29 and 30 Recording
The last two major classes are complete for the SOC100 series that develops your SOC Tier 1 Analyst skill set taking you all the way to the Virtual SOC itself.
3. Community
10 Digital Badge certifications sent out the past little bit! Including another CDCP Vanguard 10 capture by Devraj (only a few more left of those š!)
Congrats all to big wins!

Some awesome shoutouts from Bearded and Whiskey as well in the community, thank you both!
