Alumni Stories - A New Podcast Series

Every story has the power to inspire, educate, and connect. This is a podcast for alumni who want to share their personal journey in Cybersecurity or IT, offering valuable perspectives to help guide others on their own career paths.

This is something we’ve been meaning to get going for some time and we are kicking it off this Friday, March 21st at 1PM EST!

Our first alumni coming on live is Natasha Wettstein!

Natasha is a cybersecurity professional with over four years of experience in the industry. Her journey began in cybersecurity bootcamps, which laid the foundation for her career. She is currently a Threat Intelligence Analyst, and has previously worked as a Cybersecurity Advisor, SOC Analyst, and Security Solutions Engineer. Outside of work, Natasha enjoys ADV motorcycling, skiing, and creating art.

SOC100-5: PowerShell Scripting Recording Available

This stream will be led by Tom Marsland! Senior Director of Security Operations over at DigiCert and was also the Chairman of the Board over at VetSec for nearly 5 years!

We handed out six certifications this week to students in the community! Keep up the good work everyone!

Great seeing students digging in streams (even if its 8-9 hours of it!) and awesome to see that the module has directly helped pass exams in class!

This week, the cybersecurity community appears to be buzzing about several tools that address specific security needs that caught my attention:

• https://github.com/c0dejump/HExHTTP: A tool for testing HTTP headers to identify vulnerabilities, useful for web security professionals.

• https://github.com/honeynet/honeyscanner: Analyzes honeypots for vulnerabilities, aiding in detecting potential cyber attacks.

• https://github.com/yuyudhn/AzSubEnum: Focuses on enumerating subdomains in Azure services, helpful for cloud security.
