Level Effect is now listed in CISA's NICCS Education & Training Catalog. 🤯

That's the federal government's directory of recognized cybersecurity training, and it's where agencies, enterprise buyers, and students go looking for training that maps to the NIST NICE Workforce Framework.

Let’s jump in to some updates.

31 courses now mapped to official Work Roles, Competency Areas, and TKS Statements (Tasks, Knowledge, Skills).

For students: you can now put this on your resume having completed officially recognized training. All 31 of our current courses made the cut, from Detection Engineering and DFIR to Cloud Security and GRC.

For enterprise and government teams: it means an easier path to justify training spend. NICCS listing is a signal larger organizations and agencies look for when building out workforce development programs, especially ones that need to map back to the NICE Cybersecurity Workforce Framework.

Here’s an approach how you can update your resume with our training now recognized:

So long as you’re hitting the “CISA NICCS-Listed Training, Mapped to NIST NICE” keywords, you can feel free to customize to your resume format.

Some hiring managers know CISA, others know NIST, and naming both covers you either way. The middle part [what you built or analyzed] is optional but recommended to add impact. "Built detection rules for persistence techniques" beats "Detection Engineering course.” for example!

V1 of our B2B/Enterprise is live & stream today!

We shipped V1 of our enterprise training tools on Guardian Foundry this month, and partner teams are training their analysts on it now:

• Team metrics. Active learners, average progress, how many are complete, how many are still working.

• Progress across everyone enrolled, by learning path, by course, and by certification.

• The individual report card for any team member with submissions they completed and our feedback.

• Learner groups, assigning content, seat management, and billing.

HardStuck: Detection Engineering Beta & AMA

Rain Jordan wrote our original detection content. He's a Senior Threat Detection Engineer working the job right now. Before that, Red Team Operations lead at U.S. Army Cyber Command and DFIR lead at Take-Two Interactive.

HardStuck covers the part most training skips: requirements, design, validation, deployment, and maintenance. This is important because AI writes detection rules cheaply now. Judging whether a rule fits your environment still takes an engineer. Students take a position, defend it, and get graded on the reasoning.

Three modules are live in beta:
